Well, it’s been a tough year and I’m looking forward to 2018! With Witcheskin being published and lots of other exciting developments going on in my life, I’m hoping that it’s going to be brighter than 2017 has been. I’ve returned to one of my current projects after a couple of months of inactivity, and found myself at a difficult stage in the story so I’m just forcing myself through it in the hopes that it will make getting on with what comes after much easier. I figure I should probably put it on my project list with its title because I’m actually more than half-way through it! It’s in no way linked to Witcheskin, and it more of a contemporary romance since it doesn’t have any supernatural elements but it does have some suspense in it in the form of a creepy stalker.
I’m trying to improve my writing techniques. Everyone says that reading will help you to be a better writer so I’ve been trying to read more, but it’s difficult to find time to read and do all of the other things I have to do, along with the day’s chores and going to work. I have recently become very fond of Dan Simmons’ work, I’ve found him very inspirational so I think it does work to a degree.
I’ve become really nervous about the release of Witcheskin and how people are going to take it. I’m not afraid of critique, in fact I would find that incredibly useful, but I’m nervous about people meeting the characters that were my good friends through the entire process. Of course I’m expecting people to loathe Geraint, but I think I’d be kind of sad if they hated Owen too! Well, I guess they say you should never read your reviews so I’m going to take that advice and avoid it as much as possible LOL!
