Happy new year everyone! I’ve been so incredibly busy with Gurt Dog Press that I haven’t had much time to devote to house-keeping my own website. Fortunately, I had some time this weekend so I’ve given it a bit of an overhaul and added new pages for my upcoming books that are being released later this year. I’m hoping that 2021 will prove to be a much better than last year, phew.
I’m excited because this summer, I’m releasing The Sapphire Deep, which is the first novel I’ve completed in almost 2 years! Losing both my dogs, one after the other, really hit me psychologically, and I’ve struggled to complete any writing projects since then. I’m glad that I was able to finish this project and bring out the next instalment in the Lunar Shadows series. It was a lot of fun to write, and I hope it’s a lot of fun to read.
I also enjoyed revisiting Tenny and David in my overhaul of The Things We Hide At Home, now conveniently titled The Ruiner, after one of my favourite Nine Inch Nails songs. I listened to a lot of NIN when I first wrote it. This version is much, MUCH darker than the original, in which I toned down a lot of the horror elements as I was at the mercy of romance publishing. No one wanted to read a creepy thriller at the time. Well, now the book is what I wanted it to be in the first place!
I’ve started a new project, on which I won’t divulge any information on since it’s only in its infancy right now. I’m hoping it will grow and grow.
Here’s to another year of publishing!
